Lunch Program
Beginning in September , a committee of parents from the Home & School
will be providing nutritious lunches for two of the five school days.
Home and School will provide students with a lunch order form attached
to a baggie. This money for the entire week of lunches
will be collected at 8:10 a.m. on the first
school day of the week. If your child is absent on collection day,
orders can be sent with another student or dropped
off at the school office by 10:00 a.m. Children not ordering on
collection day will be expected to bring their own lunch throughout the
week. No late orders or phone orders will be accepted. On days when
children are not in school, hot lunch is canceled and there will be no
carry-overs. Refunds are not available for students who have ordered and
are absent as these monies are returned to the Home & School funds.

students have the opportunity to purchase milk (250 ml) for the month.

Punctuality
Punctuality is important in order
for students to begin their day in a calm and organized manner. This
sets the tone for a positive learning environment. Being punctual is an
important life skill and is part of our Personal Development Program.
Students are to enter the school at exactly 8:05 am.
Students arriving after 8:05 am will be recorded as tardy. Homeroom
teachers and administration will closely monitor tardiness. The best way
to ensure students arrive on time is to use the school bus system.
Students who are driven should be dropped off at the designated zone by
the wire fence on School Avenue. There is no
supervision of students until 7:45 am when the first bus arrives.
Dismissal
Grades K-2: instructional hours
end at 1:35 pm and buses depart at 1:50 pm.
Grades 3-5: instructional hours end at 2:35 pm and buses depart at 2:45
pm.
Note: The above times apply for
bus students, walkers and those being picked up. Please inform your
child’s teacher of any changes in the normal after school routine by
writing a note to be given to the teacher on the
previous day. To alleviate congestion in the hallways and assist
teachers to dismiss classes in a safe, orderly manner, all caregivers
are asked to meet their children outside the gate at the corner of
School Avenue at either 1:45 pm or 2:40 pm.
Buses
Most of our students are
transported to and from school on school buses. The driver is
responsible for the safety of students on his or her bus. Children are
expected to listen and follow the directions of the bus driver.
The location of bus stops, routes
and pick up times is controlled by District Office. Problems regarding
the above should be directed to the District Office. On occasion, a bus
will be late due to mechanical problems. Should this occur in the
morning, announcements are usually made over the local radio stations;
however, in the afternoon, a talk mail will be sent from the school.
